MXR Zakk Wylde Overdrive
This baby will surprise you. It surprised me. I was anticipating a hard rockin' distortion pedal called an overdrive. It is not, in fact, it is a really smooth and warm overdrive pedal reminiscent of tube scrreamers and such. Zakk uses this in front of his distorted amp to kick the leads up in distorion and volume, and it works great. I feel that even blues players could really dig this pedal though. It is very frequent that you get something that can run the gamut and provide so much. As always, MXR delivers tone, and a sturdy chassis which should last you for years.		 retail price $160

ROCKTRON Silver Dragon Tube Distortion
