Pearl is proud to introduce the all new Philharmonic Concert Snare Drums, featuring the revolutionary Triad Silent Strainer System. These incredible drums represent state of the art design and craftsmanship, combined with groundbreaking innovation allowing the player unprecedented control over the tone, dynamics and performance of the instrument. A proprietary combination of three unique snare sets, using both graduated and even tensioning, offers seamless timbral overlapping and ultra-smooth dynamic transition, plus a greatly extended dynamic and sensitivity range. The new Triad Silent Strainer provides three individual tension adjusters allowing you to fine tune the optimum tension for each type of snare material, and a single global adjuster is used for overall tension. All snares can be effortlessly changed by simply loosening the adjuster and one drum key rod.

Pearl’s Philharmonic Concert Snare Drums are available in three different shell materials to compliment a wide variety of playing situations, and each offers a 5"X14" and a 6.5"X14" choice in size. The Philharmonic Maple drum (PHM) features a shell painstakingly hand formed from a single, 7.5mm thick ply of fully aged prime Maple. The Philharmonic Ply Maple drum (PHP) features a 7.5mm thick 6 ply Maple shell. The Philharmonic CastAluminum Shell Snare Drum (PHA) features a 3mm cast shell and offers a warmth and richness similar to wood, but with the increased brightness and attack characteristic of metal shell snare drums.

Yamaha YV-1600 Vibraphone

The YV-1600 is an intermediate model that uses a non-graduated bar design made from a special alloy that maintains a rich tone and clear resonance.

The exclusive Yamaha tuning method is used, ensuring true pitch and full sound. The bars also feature a silver, matte finish that produce a warm sound. The size of the non-graduated bars help to keep this keyboard compact, while the width and thickness allow projection and full tone. The height adjustable frame allows for the players to have a comfortable playing position. The YV1600 also features an oversized pedal with a quiet motor, durable frame for great stability and 3-inch casters for easy transport and playing stability.

Yamaha YM4900A 4 1/2 Octave Rosewood Marimba
Possessing most of the same features as the YM4600A, the 4900 Marimba is however a 4 1/2 Octave ranged instrument. Larger scale size and professional note sizings makes this instrument a great choice for soloist on a budget. Most modern solo marimba repertory does not require a full 5 octave instrument and when it does there are often written in alternatives presented so that the work can be performed on a 4 1/2 octave instrument. The YM4900A is thus a perfect instrument for the modern soloist looking for great tone and range without having to spend out on a full 5 octave instrument.

Easy Height Adjustment
The unique compressed gas spring support system allows quick and easy height adjustment by a single person. This is especially useful in school or ensembles where more than one musician will use the same instrument.  Portability
The frames have been superbly crafted of beautiful natural-finish wood and strong lightweight metal. They are designed to make transport as easy as possible and can be quickly dismantled and reassembled. The "one-piece" design resonators fold in the middle for easy packing or assembly. And the streamlined end pieces with 4 (100mm) casters permit smooth maneuvering through doorways.
